Your girlfriend likes us more than you!
WELCOME
What is this?

Welcome to VideoGame Command! We post game making tutorials, resources for making games, and a few games we made ourselves. We don't pretend to be experts but, we aren't bad! So, why not stop and take a look around? Oh, did I mention that it is all free?

How do I start?

Don't know where to start out? Go over to the Programs page which is under "Resources" on the links on the left. From there you can download Game Maker. Open it up, play with it, and then come back to read the Very Easy Tutorials which is under "GM Tutorials" on the links on the left.

Sorry for the inconvenience, VGC Leader.

Summer Plans
May 15, 2011
By: VGC Leader

First of all, the site is another year older. Woot! Secondly, I thought now would be a good time to tell you guys our plans for the summer. I’m currently working on upgrading the site yet again. I know you are probably asking why we need another site update at this point. All I can say is that it is a surprise. We still have a list of games and tutorials to finish. Although this may not seem like a long list, we are expecting it to take quite a bit of time. We will post more updates as we work on it!

Help Research into Many Well Known Diseases
March 19, 2011

Ever wish you could do something important just by running a program? YOU CAN! Stanford University is currently researching protein folding. “The process of protein folding, while critical and fundamental to virtually all of biology, in many ways remains a mystery.” “Moreover, when proteins do not fold correctly (i.e. “misfold”), there can be serious consequences, including many well known diseases, such as Alzheimer’s, Mad Cow (BSE), CJD, ALS, Huntington’s, Parkinson’s disease, and many Cancers and cancer-related syndromes.”

They are currently running a bunch of simulations on protein folding. However, a supercomputer alone isn’t enough to get all of the simulations done. So, they are getting people to download a program that does some of the simulations on your computer. When it finishes, it sends the data to them and starts working on another simulation.

So, all you have to do is download their program (LINK) and then run it (And yes, all of this is free). If you want, you can even join our team to keep up with your stats. (Click Here to learn more about joining our team.)

Who knew science was so easy!?! (Yes, that is a joke.)
